To further promote our artist, We looked at how different companies showcased artists on their magazines to focus the consumer's attention on the artist. Below are a couple of covers from the Rolling Stones and Billboard magazines, and you can see how they position the picture so that the musician is in front of the title, to make them stand out even more. Any text on the cover is also positioned around the outside and away from the centre. This does not allow the attention to be drawn away from the artist too much. The text, also, is not always all the same colour. The font colour sometimes changes on the same magazine cover.
I think you could do more analysis than this. You have only looked at the position of the photo - what about all the other important elements of media language?
